About the role

This role operates within the International Department’s Ukraine Response team. Its primary function is to provide management support and coordination for Christian Aid’s initiatives in Ukraine, contributing to the implementation of the Ukraine Theory of Change and exit strategy. The role involves supporting a diverse portfolio of partners to execute project workplans and capacity strengthening action plans through positive and proactive collaboration. It ensures that projects and programmes are delivered effectively, on time, and with significant impact, adhering to agreed objectives and demonstrating compliance with project agreements, financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.

About you

You have experience in and knowledge of the Ukraine context and humanitarian issues, with understanding of the Christian Aid Ukraine key programme areas including sclr, assess and assist (cash for protection),community resiliency model for trauma informed support, support and community led response. You have experience working with local partners in a collaborative manner and practical experience and skills in grant management and budget control procedures and compliance mechanisms.

You have familiarity with programme cycle management approaches and tools – including participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation. You have the ability to build strong, effective, working relationships with a range of stakeholders and a positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to deal with a wide range of issues and manage a dynamic workload.

You have a sound knowledge of community led approaches, community accountability, flexible cash programming, safeguarding, GESI. You must be prepared to travel within Ukraine and to the UK, following the guidance of our security consultants.
