Technical Coordinator for Anticipatory Action (m/f/d)
Start Date: as soon as possible
Term: 2 years with option for extension
Type of employment: full-time or part-time

Your tasks:

Advising partners in developing early action protocols
-
Managing early action protocols jointly with partners in Asia and Africa
-
Consolidate early warning information on the priority risks and support the selection of key indicators for primary climate risks.

Identify early warning triggers, i.e. the risk level thresholds for forecast-based financing scenarios of local responders and affected population

Ensuring and managing finance mechanisms for build and fuel phase
-
Developing and mainstream tools and methods in Anticipatory Action for ADRA Germany and partners
Your profile:
-
At least 2 years of relevant practical experience in Anticipatory Action
-
Sound background in Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Assistance

Experience or familiarity with climate risk surveillance or monitoring systems, post-disaster needs recovery, risk and hazards mapping and / or profiling and market analysis

Very good language skills in English & potentially French; German and other language skills are an advantage

Very good analytical and conceptual skills

Very good culturally sensitive advisory skills
