The Team
The Finance team provides leadership, guidance and oversight of Alight’s Financial resources. These Alight operations include planning, accountability, monitoring, headquarters accounting, grant management and field financial support.
The Role
Based in Minneapolis, the Senior Treasury Analyst reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and oversees and executes critical functions related to global cash balances, cash flow, corporate liquidity, cross-border movement of grant funds, and financial risk management ensuring the optimization of cash resources, maintaining liquidity, and controlling exposure to financial and currency risks.
The Senior Treasury Analyst monitors and recommends positioning of Alight Investment accounts.

Monitor and manage global banking relationships, cash positions, liquidity, cash flow and line of credit balance – 30%
- Co-ordinate banking relationship with our primary US bank – BMO.
- Assist country managers with their selection and management of banking relationships.
- Assist with country and corporate cash flow projections and budgeting.
- Monitor the line of credit agreements and usage.
- Monitor the global cash positions and associated currency and financial risk exposures.
- Provide useful cash management analysis and reporting
- Raise any concerns to management.
Manage cross-border cash transfers and monitor operational risks – 40%
- Review, validate, and approve country cash requests using their past performance, monthly spending plans, and grant status.
- Request the approved transfers to AP team and monitor through receipt confirmation.
- Build relationships with country finance teams and their financial service providers.
- Prepare each country month-end currency revaluation entries at the time of close and pass to the country to post.
- Monitor the Foreign Currency Gain/Loss Account during the year.
- Identify alternative finance routes when required. (Western Union, etc.).
- Ensure proper bank signatories are on all accounts (Alight CFO and Alight Security) and updated as needed.
- Monitor US State Department country sanctions and reporting requirements and comply.
- File necessary reports with US Treasury and other government agencies.
- Be knowledgeable of international certification standards and requirements (eg apostles, EuroCert, or other requirements similar to the US Notary certifications)
Alight Investment Accounts – 10%
- Recommend and monitor investment accounts for Alight’s investment assets (endowments).
- Receive the investment statements and provide for proper monthly accounting.
- Ensure that excess cash is safely applied in money market or similar accounts.
- Receive stock donations in the investment accounts and process sales in line with Alight policies.
Policies and Financial Analysis – 10%
- Maintain and communicate policies regarding bank management and cash management.
- Ensure policies to safeguard cash and investment accounts are in place, communicated, and training is provided as needed.
- Remains current on changes within the industry through publications and continuing education.
- Assists the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis with projections and with presentation of current financial results.

Anticipated travel – minimal. (some international travel possible).
Qualifications

We’re also looking for the following technical competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years of progressive international accounting and treasury experience including grants and cooperative agreements.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to set priorities, establish deadlines, and follow through in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand and compare grant data to develop and communicate budgets/goals/plans analysis.
- Experience in international bank transfers, bank evaluations, and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of OMB Circulars A-110, A-122, and A-133, as well as FAR and AIDAR.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with all levels of staff, sometimes under stressful and high-pressure situations.
