Respecting animals and respecting cultures in times of disruption
0

We look forward to welcoming you to the next National Consortium for Societal Resilience [UK+] (NCSR+) ‘How to… communities’ webinar held jointly with the Resilience Beyond Observed Capabilities Network+ (RBOC+).

Taking inspiration from international experience and good practice is vital to enhancing societal resilience. Integrating learning from elsewhere into local contexts is especially important in relation to themes such as respecting cultures in disaster management and animal-inclusive disaster resilient communities.

This webinar will focus on learning from New Zealand on how to respect cultures and animals in disaster planning, response, and recovery.

Our speakers:

  • Renee Santos, Wellington Region Emergency Management Office, New Zealand
  • Jenny Calder, Northland Civil Defence Emergency Management Group, New Zealand
