Empow’Her is looking for consulting firms to carry out technical support in entrepreneurship in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka! ?
As part of the Feminist Opportunities Now (FON) project, which aims to strengthen feminist organisations involved in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV), Empow’Her is looking for 1 consulting firm in Bangladesh and 1 consulting firm in Sri Lanka to support several organisations in the development of their revenue-generating project during individual training courses. ??????
Empow’Her :
Founded in 2013, Empow’Her is an international organisation that supports feminist entrepreneurship, as a vector for equality in the economy and society. Through innovative solutions and a systemic approach to access to entrepreneurship, Empow’Her aims to redirect entrepreneurial potential towards a feminist agenda, taking into account all the social, societal and ecological challenges of our time.
Feminist Opportunities Now project :
The Feminist Opportunities Now project is funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The project is run by a consortium of five NGOs. It aims to strengthen feminist organisations involved in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) through training, support for safe spaces and incubation of innovative projects in 10 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia (Kenya, Ethiopia, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Guinea, Mexico, Colombia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh).
Incubation program activity of Feminist Opportunities Now (FON) :
The incubation program consists in supporting CSOs in building a social impact business project, related with their CSO’s mission, so that they can move towards a hybrid business model that will create a greater economic resilience and financial independence.
After the pilot program was deployed in West Africa in 2024, Empow’Her is working on replicating the program in 2025 in the other FON project regions.
In Asia, ten CSOs will be selected (ideally 5 in Sri Lanka and 5 in Bangladesh) to engage in the incubation programme.
Aims of the incubation program
- Prepare the CSOs to successfully launch a well-structured commercial activity that is strategically aligned with their organisational objectives.
- Strengthen the financial independence and economic resilience of CSOs.
- Contribute to professionalising and structuring small and medium-sized CSOs.
Empow’Her is recruiting two consulting firms (one in Sri Lanka and one in Bangladesh) to carry out the technical support of the feminist CSOs.
