Scope of Work
CRD seeks a Public Health Officer to support its field-based research and program implementation efforts. The officer will be responsible for translating public health research into actionable field programs, providing technical support, and ensuring the effectiveness of health interventions across diverse humanitarian and development contexts.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Coordination
- Lead the execution of public health interventions informed by CRD’s evidence-based research.
- Ensure alignment of public health projects with international, national, and local policies.
- Work closely with field teams, NGOs, healthcare professionals and entities, and government entities to enhance coordination.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in a manner that prevents sexual exploitation and abuse.
Technical Support & Capacity Building
- Provide technical assistance to field teams implementing research-driven health interventions.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for community health workers, local partners, and field teams.
- Develop and disseminate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for public health responses.
Monitoring, Data Collection & Reporting
- Conduct field visits to monitor the implementation of CRD’s health-related research findings.
- Support the design and implementation of health data collection tools.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports summarizing findings, challenges, and lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Public Health, [LB2] Epidemiology, Global Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in public health program implementation, preferably in humanitarian and development settings.
- Experience in disease surveillance, outbreak response, and health system strengthening.
- Strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and field management skills.
- Ability to analyse health research and translate findings into effective interventions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.

- Experience working with displaced communities, diverse populations, including women and girls with a clear understanding of gender.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; experience engaging community leaders and other stakeholders
- Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Computer literary, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
