Finn Church Aid (FCA) Thailand Foundation is seeking a Programme Coordinator, Asia, NRTP to work as part of the FCA Thailand Foundation team, based on Bangkok, Thailand.
The Programme Coordinator leads the implementation of FCA THACO’s activities related to the “Youth on the Move: A Regional Approach to Resilience” Project, a consortium project led by FCA Myanmar, FCA Nepal and FCA Thailand in Thailand, Myanmar and Nepal. The coordinator will also support Network’s regional program in Asia, including member engagement and communications.
Main areas of responsibility include:
- Coordinate the implementation of FCA Thailand’s activities within the Youth on the Move project and advise local partners and stakeholders on issues related to Myanmar migrants in Thailand.
- Manage FCA Thailand’s responsibilities within the project, including monitoring and reporting activities according to donor guidelines.
- Liaise with other Youth on the Move consortium members and NETW members to align strategies and activities.
- Represent the Network and FCA in relevant Youth on the Move national working groups
- Facilitate a platform for partners, beneficiaries, and stakeholders, providing capacity support to ensure representation in national and international forums.
- Ensure compliance with FCA policies and guidelines, overseeing financial, contractual, and procurement processes.
- Coordinate drafting contracts and agreements, and manage documentation as relevant to the project
- Organize logistical and travel arrangements for meetings and events as relevant to the project
- Contribute to advancing FCA’s and the Network’s strategies.
- Support the strengthening and enhancement of the Network’s Regional Program in Asia, including engagement of members and supporters.
Competence, experience, skills, knowledge needed
- University degree (BA or MA) in a relevant field, e.g. peace and conflict studies, international relations, development studies, human rights or similar
- At least four years of relevant professional experience from peace building and/or development sector.
- Experience in programme and project management and development, M&E and reporting
- Experience in developing funding proposals, budgeting and financial reporting
- Thematic knowledge and experience in education and livelihood development; protection or peace building and conflict transformation
- Asia Regional expertise and experience of working especially in Myanmar/Thailand
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills and experience in working in multi-cultural/ religious environments.
- Excellent skills in analytical thinking and professional writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and to proactively manage and coordinate work.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Fluent in oral and written English and Thai. Working knowledge of Burmese is considered as an asset.
