Position Description
The Operator is a key member of the Operations Team, working alongside law enforcement partners to conduct field and online investigations, intelligence gathering, and operational support. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and legal compliance, ensuring adherence to Our Rescue’s Global Operations SOPs and all relevant legal standards.
All responsibilities and functions of this role must be conducted under the following parameters:
- In accordance with U.S. and Thai laws and regulations
- Consistent with the mission of Our Rescue
- Compliant with established Our Rescue SOPs
- Supervised by trained Our Rescue personnel
- Conducted in partnership with local law enforcement (LE)
Key Responsibilities:
General Operations
- Develop strategies and work plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Track and analyze operational performance within the team.
- Manage documentation and maintain operational statistics.
- Identify and resolve workflow issues to maintain efficiency.
Field & Online Investigations
- Conduct on-the-ground and digital investigations, gathering intelligence on potential trafficking operations.
- Utilize Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), forensic tools, and surveillance techniques to track and monitor targets.
- Conduct observation and reporting fieldwork in collaboration with law enforcement, ensuring adherence to ethical and safety protocols.
- Follow strict operational protocols for evidence collection, witness statements, and documentation.
Security & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure the safety of field operation teams when tracking trafficking networks and identifying high-risk individuals.
- Assist in real-time intelligence monitoring for ongoing investigations.
- Identify potential security threats, report risks, and support rapid response teams when necessary.
Law Enforcement & Partner Collaboration
- Work closely with local and international law enforcement agencies to provide intelligence and operational support.
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody procedures for evidence and ensure secure information transfer.
- Support legal teams in compiling case files, reports, and courtroom presentations.
Compliance & Ethical Standards
- Operate strictly within Our Rescue’s Global Ops Policy, SOPs, U.S. and local laws, and partner agency regulations.
- Ensure the confidentiality of victim information, ongoing investigations, and operational details.
- Participate in regular training and operational briefings to stay up to date on best practices and legal standards.
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, organize data to assess program effectiveness, and prepare/contribute to reports.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager or team, in alignment with the goals and needs of the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (Criminal Justice, International Relations, Forensic Science, Cybersecurity, Homeland Security, Counterterrorism, Law, Political Science, etc.).
- Fluency in English and Thai.
- High-level situational awareness and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to operate in high-stress environments with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in report writing, documentation, and data security practices.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Absolute commitment to adhering to Our Rescue’s Global Ops Policy, and SOPs and ethical guidelines
Desirable
- Strong knowledge of OSINT tools, digital forensics, and intelligence-gathering techniques.
- 2+ years of experience in anti-human trafficking, law enforcement, investigations, welfare, protection, military, or similar fields.
