About the Role
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Manager, Programme Monitoring and Improvement (PMI) to programme monitoring across the GAIN Nigeria portfolio of projects and ensuring that the learnings from monitoring and research are used to make improvements to programmes and to strengthen strategy. This role will be offered on a two(2) year fixed term contract, subject to availability of funding and will be based in Abuja, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the in-country monitoring activities for all programmes.
- Lead on the consolidation of the country Learning Agenda to capture programme learning and inform improvements to programmes and strategy.
- Support the design and adaptation of the programme monitoring tools and processes and lead on the training and quality assurance of the programme monitoring components.
- Develop or improve programme theories of change and results frameworks and plans in collaboration with project managers in Nigeria, the Knowledge Leadership (KL) and Programmes team and implementing partners.
- Manage and ensure consistent review, data analysis and preparation of reports on monitoring indicators.
- Support dissemination of monitoring results to appropriate audiences, interpretation of data and follow-up / corrective action.
- In collaboration with the KL team, provide coordination and oversight for research implementing partners, ensuring milestones are met, reviewing progress reports, and advising on disbursements of funds.
- Supervise the Programme Monitoring and Improvement Associates as well as other country office staff engaged in programme monitoring.
About you
The ideal candidate should have experience in programme monitoring with demonstrable critical analysis skills to extract key learnings and effective practices from programme monitoring and their application for improvement. You should have deep knowledge of programme design and monitoring tools, their application. Experience in research or impact evaluation is required.
The position holder should be able to develop and improve programme theories of change and results frameworks and consolidation of the country Learning Agenda to capture programme learning and inform improvements to programmes and strategy. Project management and people management skills are key in succeeding in this role.
An education background with a degree in Nutrition, Data sciences, Public Health or related field is required.
About our Offer
The starting gross salary on offer for this role is from NGN 17,200,128 – NGN 19,666,488 gross per annum, depending on experience.
