The Role
As the Manager, Academic Services, you will lead and facilitate the delivery of high-quality, student-centred academic and administrative services. This role is critical in ensuring a consistent and integrated approach to the student lifecycle and academic programs.
You will work closely with management and professional staff to align operational activities with strategic goals and promote continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement student application and enrolment processes and forms
- Create, implement and maintain a system for applications, student offers and placements, enrolment, and student data
- Develop and implement policies relating to student applications, student selection, student offers and placements, onboarding and enrolment, graduation, student data retention and usage, and others as required
- Design training attendance forms and maintain student attendance records
- Maintain student records for reporting purposes
- Support the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning team with application, student and student cohort related data
- Develop and maintain regional registers for student complaints, student issues, student incidents, handling safeguard issues and other relevant registers as may be required
- Manage risks within the student engagement and graduation process
- Provide technical advice to support partner institutions to develop their own application, enrolment and compliance systems (where required)
- Any other tasks as may be required
Selection Criteria
Essential Experience and Knowledge
- Postgraduate qualifications and substantial experience in student services, academic administration, or a related field, including ASQA experience.
- Proven success leading service delivery functions in large, complex organisations within the skills and training sector.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative approach to leadership.
- Experience implementing continuous service improvement, regulatory changes and strategy.
- Deep understanding of academic policies, regulatory frameworks, and governance processes in a skills and training setting.
