COOPI
COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale is an Italian secular and independent humanitarian organization that fights against all forms of poverty to improve the world. It was founded in 1965 by Father Vincenzo Barbieri. Today, COOPI is present in 33 countries across Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, with both emergency and development projects carried out by expatriate staff (an average of 150 people per year) and national staff. The main institutional funders are the European Union, UN agencies, the Italian government, local authorities and other European governments.

COOPI in the Country
COOPI has been registered in Jordan since 2017, implementing projects in protection, education and livelihood. COOPI assists both the Syrian population and host community in responding to the effects of the Syrian crisis. COOPI is currently implementing child protection, education and livelihood projects funded AICS and EU.

Role
The Junior Administrator reports to and receives instructions from the Country Administrator and the Project Managers in the performance of his or her duties. Agrees to and subscribes to the Code of Conduct of the organization in all its articles.

Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of COOPI’s Country Administrator the Junior Administrator will be responsible of the following tasks:
 Good and proper financial management of the project, ensure the accounting management of the project in collaboration with the project manager and Country Administrator.
 Ensure compliance with the contractual conditions imposed by the Donor;
 Recording daily financial transactions in the accounting system;
 Prepare monthly bank and cash reconciliations;
 Ensure that all documents are filed in accordance with COOPI and donor guidelines;
 Use COOPI financial tracking sheet to plan expenditures and update them (in collaboration with the project manager and Country Administrator);
 Check the correct recording and eligibility of expenses made by logistics;

 Provide technical assistance to the project manager for the proper implementation of COOPI procedures, donor guidelines, and Jordanian laws;
 Proper management of human resources;
 Verification and monitoring of leave taken by project staff;
 Processing financial reports and project audits, in compliance with COOPI and Donor procedures, meeting contractual deadlines;
 Arrange, with the head of mission and Country Administrator, any monitoring missions of the Regional Administrator
 Partner financial management; briefing partner on AICS procedures regarding purchases, payments, and accounting records
 Monthly review of financial reports of partner expenses.

Requirements
 Higher education (bachelor’s or master’s degree) of at least 2 years, or an equivalent mix of experience and training in the field of economics, finance, business, and development cooperation or international relations;
 At least 2 years of experience in project accounting/financial management with demonstrable results and reporting responsibilities;
 Excellent spoken and written knowledge of the country’s working languages: Arabic. Excellent knowledge of English is required;
 Knowledge of AICS funded projects is an added value;
 Mastery of Office package and major computer communication and research programs and tools;
 Experience in partner management/supervision and relationship with donors, other agencies and partners;
 Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, strong initiative and autonomy in work, Pragmatism;
 Resistance to stress, ability to work under pressure and with imposed deadlines;
 Excellent ability to work in teams and by objectives, ability to train co- workers, assertiveness, decision-making aptitude;
 Aptitude for working in sensitive and complex political and security contexts and in multicultural environment;
 Excellent listening, negotiation and communication skills;
 Interest and motivation to work in an NGO while respecting its values and principles;
