About HFGD:
Horizons for Green Development (HFGD) is a Jordanian non-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable development, empowering vulnerable communities, and supporting innovative environmental and livelihood solutions across Jordan (https://www.horizondge.org/).
We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Intern to support our Program Development Unit, with a focus on proposal and concept note writing, donor engagement, and program design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and reviewing proposals, concept notes, and other fundraising materials.
- Support the development of programmatic tools, frameworks, and log frames.
- Conduct background research on donors, thematic areas, and contextual needs.
- Contribute to the design of new projects aligned with HFGD’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather field inputs and ensure quality submissions.
- Support documentation and internal knowledge management processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Valid Jordanian residency holder or entry VISA.
- Prior experience in the NGO/humanitarian or development sector (Internship or paid).
- Solid understanding of project cycle management, proposal development, and donor compliance.
- Proven skills in writing, editing, and research (in English is necessary).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel); familiarity with tools like google Workspace or project management tools is a plus.
