Still I Rise is a humanitarian organization founded in 2018 to bring top-quality education to refugee and vulnerable children around the world. Our goal is to end the global education crisis. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant Intern to support our Human Resources department. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit HR practices within a fast-paced and purpose-driven international environment. The position is remote and ideal for individuals seeking practical exposure in HR while contributing to impactful education programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in screening CVs and shortlisting candidates for various roles across five program locations.
- Support the tracking and reporting of recruitment progress across departments and programs.
- Coordinate and set up interviews with shortlisted candidates.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of onboarding processes for new hires.
- Maintain and organize digital HR files and databases.
- Assist HR and Admin officers on the field in preparing HR documentation, including offer letters and contracts.
- Support HR communications and coordination with candidates and hiring managers.
- Participate in internal meetings and take minutes when needed.
- Contribute to research and benchmarking tasks for HR policies and best practices.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR team.
REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Flexible working hours and a fully remote setup.
- Certificate of completion and reference letter upon successful internship.
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, International Development or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Comfortable working in a remote, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of French, Arabic, or Spanish is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in G-suite. Proficiency in Asana is a strong plus.
- Passion for social justice, education, and humanitarian causes.
