We are hiring a Doctor and Medical Officer to work with our Emergency Response field team in South Sudan. This role is responsible for clinical and medical activities and programs involving medical and surgical care of patients at a 100-bed hospital. In addition to patient care, the Doctor and Medical Officer provides supervision for expat and national medical staff. A day in the life of a Doctor and Medical Officer:

We are seeking a Doctor and Medical Officer to help serve in our South Sudan Office. If you want to have an eternal impact for kingdom of God while also providing for the physical needs of some of the most vulnerable, this is the role for you!
In the role of Doctor and Medical Officer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with other doctors and other clinical staff to provide overall care at the hospital including pediatric, obstetric/ gynecological, medical and surgical care.
- Builds capacity of local stay and may be called upon to offer classroom lectures to the nurses and or midwives
- Offer hands-on, clinical instruction to nurses during ward rounds and in surgery.
- Build capacity of local stay and may be called upon to offer classroom lectures to the nurses and or midwives
- Maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Participate in the annual work plan and budget development process.
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
- Expert skills and knowledge of clinical and medical care with expertise in surgery or internal medicine
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
- Ability to utilize significant skillsets in clinical medical management
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required); Arabic is helpful
Accompaniment: Non-accompanied
Travel Expectations: Approximately 20-25 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
