Dawlaty is seeking dedicated and experienced activists currently residing in Syria to join our Board of Trustees. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in guiding our organization’s mission for a just, democratic, and peaceful Syria—one that upholds accountability, human rights, gender equality, tolerance, and diversity. This is an honorable position that offers a meaningful role in shaping the future of Syrian civil society.
As a Dawlaty Board Member, you will be responsible for ensuring good governance of the organization, overseeing financial accountability, hiring and evaluating the Executive Director, providing strategic guidance, and supporting the organization through transitions. The Board meets quarterly, with one in-person meeting annually (subject to feasibility). Members are also expected to provide ongoing support and advice to the Executive Director as needed. The Board’s working languages are Arabic and English. This is an unpaid, voluntary position.
Who We Are Looking For
We are prioritizing applications from activists based inside Syria who:
● Are deeply committed to transitional justice and Dawlaty’s mission of empowering civil society, particularly young men and women, to actively contribute to Syria’s democratic transition.
● Have strong knowledge and understanding of the Syrian context over the past decade, especially regarding civil society organizations and their work.
● Bring expertise in either financial governance of organizations or organizational development.
● Are 30 years old or above.

دعوة مفتوحة للانضمام إلى مجلس الأمناء في مؤسسة دولتي
تسعى مؤسسة دولتي إلى ضم عضوين جديدين إلى مجلس الأمناء، من الناشطين الملتزمين والمقيمين حاليًا داخل سوريا. هذه فرصة فريدة للعب دور محوري في توجيه عمل المؤسسة نحو تحقيق رؤيتها لسوريا عادلة، ديمقراطية، وسلمية، تقوم على المحاسبة، واحترام حقوق الإنسان، والمساواة الجندرية، والتسامح، والتنوع.
هذه منصب شرفي يتيح لك الإسهام في رسم مستقبل المجتمع المدني السوري.
مسؤوليات عضو مجلس الأمناء
كعضو في مجلس الأمناء، ستكون مسؤولاً عن ضمان الحوكمة الرشيدة للمؤسسة، والإشراف على المساءلة المالية، وتوظيف وتقييم أداء المدير التنفيذي، والمساهمة في رسم الخطط الاستراتيجية ودعم المؤسسة في فترات الانتقال. يجتمع المجلس بشكل ربع سنوي، مع اجتماع حضوري واحد سنويًا (إذا أمكن). كما يُطلب من الأعضاء تقديم المشورة والدعم للمدير التنفيذي عند الحاجة. اللغتان المعتمدتان في المجلس هما العربية والإنجليزية. هذا المنصب تطوعي غير مدفوع الأجر.
معايير الترشح
نعطي الأولوية للمتقدمين المقيمين داخل سوريا، والذين:
● لديهم التزام عميق بالعدالة الانتقالية ورسالة مؤسسة دولتي في تمكين المجتمع المدني، لا سيما الشباب من الجنسين، للمشاركة الفاعلة في التحول الديمقراطي في سوريا.
● لديهم معرفة وفهم عميق بالسياق السوري خلال العقد الماضي، خاصة فيما يتعلق بعمل منظمات المجتمع المدني.
● لديهم خبرة في الرقابة المالية للمنظمات أو تطوير المنظمات.
● لا تقل أعمارهم عن 30 عامًا.
