This role will be a strategic role in the Corporate Services department, which supports MAGENTA’s delivery and growth work. The Corporate Finance Lead manages MAGENTA’s group level and entity finance and accounting functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Strategy & Analysis
- Conducts in-depth financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial positioning assessments to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develops and implements pricing strategies that maximise profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
- Provides clear, data-driven guidance on financial performance, cost efficiencies, and revenue opportunities.
- Monitors key financial KPIs and identifies trends to inform business growth strategies.
- Assesses financial risks and opportunities, offering strategic recommendations to the leadership team.
Corporate Financial Management & Reporting
- Leads financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Prepares and presents accurate, timely financial reports and dashboards for senior management, including profit/loss analysis, cash flow projections, and financial health indicators.
- Oversees cash flow management to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
- Advises on individual entity banking, including compliance with any host country requirements and reporting.
- Ensures compliance with all financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies across MAGENTA’s entities.
Oversight of Accounting & Financial Controls
- Provides oversight of the accounting function to ensure accurate financial records, reconciliations, and compliance with reporting standards.
- Conducts regular financial reviews, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and adherence to accounting policies.
- Ensures robust internal financial controls, minimizing risks and strengthening compliance.
- Reviews journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Works closely with accounting team to enhance reporting processes and improve efficiency.
Pricing
- Designs and refines pricing structures for MAGENTA’s services and projects to optimise revenue and profit margins.
- Evaluate project contract terms and pricing strategies for optimal business outcomes.
- Leads financial negotiations with clients.
Audit, Compliance & Financial Governance
- Leads the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
- Ensures financial policies and procedures are robust, up-to-date, and aligned with best practices.
- Oversees tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting for all entities.
- Manages MAGENTA’s fringe and indirect rates, including USG NICRA applications and compliance.
Process Improvement & System Integration
- Streamlines financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Strengthens financial controls and policies, ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Leads on integrating group-level accounting, including transfer pricing agreements and consolidated reporting.
- Identifies and implements financial systems and tools to enhance data-driven decision-making.
Requirements & Competencies
- Education
- Finance or accounting qualification required; Masters preferred
- Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in corporate finance, including financial analysis or strategic financial management
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, pricing strategies, and financial planning.
- Financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide strategic financial recommendations.
- Experience overseeing accounting functions and ensuring financial compliance.
- Experience working with public sector, governments, etc in a similar capacity.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Central highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively, respectfully and successfully with governments, clients, partners and other stakeholders in complex settings;
- A strategic thinker, with a keen desire to learn, problem-solve and consume new information;
