The Role:
As the Chief Operations Officer (COO), you will be a central figure in managing Spring ACT’s day-to-day administrative and operational functions. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role is crucial for ensuring the organisation’s efficiency and effectiveness in all internal and external processes. The COO will be responsible for the financial and administrative running of Spring ACT, lead our efforts to streamline operations, oversee major projects, and nurture a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team.

As COO, you will be pivotal in driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives that align with our bold vision. This role is suited for a seasoned leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is adept at steering organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, ensuring strategic alignment and efficient execution of organisational goals. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions and teams of our organisation.
- Organisational Development: Manage and improve internal processes and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across our global operations and team.
- Team and Performance Management: Spearhead HR functions, manage team members, and oversee performance metrics to foster a productive and positive work environment. Act as the bridge between the team and executive management.
- Risk Management: Oversee risk management and ensure compliance with international laws and regulations that impact NGO operations.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to refine and implement strategic plans, setting the stage for scalable growth.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must have: Possess personal qualities of integrity, courage, and commitment to social justice.
- Proven track record of operational leadership (executive level) in a non-profit, start-up, or a similar role, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse teams, fast-paced work environments, and agile workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of nurturing strong relationships with diverse teams and partners.
- Exceptional ability to manage complex operations and multitask with precision.
- Strategic thinker with a robust analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent in the use of technologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Proficient working in English.

Chatbot Sophia: Our flagship project, Sophia, is a cutting-edge chatbot designed to provide support and resources to survivors of domestic violence globally. This AI-driven platform offers confidential assistance and information, making critical resources accessible to those in need around the clock.
Digital Safe: In tandem with Sophia, the Digital Safe provides a secure and private platform where individuals can safely store potential evidence of the abuse happening.
ImpACT Platform: Our ImpACT platform serves as a backbone for measuring our impact and the effectiveness and reach of our initiatives, as well as facilitates our local global expansion of Sophia.
Comeback CatZ: under the leadership of our sister company Spring Tech, Comeback CatZ is an app empowering you to tackle everyday sexism with witty comebacks, and tackle the imposter syndrome.
As Chief of Staff at Spring ACT, you will play a pivotal part in our team to help ensure these projects not only thrive but also integrate seamlessly to multiply our impact. Your leadership will directly influence our strategic direction and our capacity to empower survivors and advocates worldwide.

Compensation:
- USD 21,120 – 23,587 per annum for 100% salary range with 5 weeks paid leave and 12 mental health days
