Job Purpose:

Are you curious about how international development projects come to life? Are you eager to understand how ideas turn into programs that make a difference in fragile and complex settings? ProLeap Development Group is looking for a proactive and strategic intern to join our Business Development Unit.

This 6-month internship is a hands-on opportunity to learn how a consulting firm in the humanitarian and development space operates, from identifying opportunities to shaping winning proposals. You’ll gain exposure to the full proposal lifecycle, build your skills in market research and writing, and contribute to real-time projects with a team of experts who are passionate about the work we do. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment, possesses strong analytical and writing skills, and is eager to contribute to the growth of an international development consulting firm. You will play a key role in supporting ProLeap Development Group’s business expansion efforts, proposal development, and client engagement. This internship reports to the CEO and works closely with the Senior Leadership Team and provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research, proposal writing, and strategic business positioning while working closely with industry experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying business opportunities, funding sources, and partnership prospects.
  • Support the development of business outreach materials, including capability statements and presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding ProLeap Development Group’s client and partner database.
  • Support the drafting and editing of proposals, concept notes (CNs), and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs), and Calls for Proposals (CfPs).
  • Support the preparation of briefing materials
  • Contribute to outreach efforts by identifying and engaging with relevant industry networks.

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate, MA in Business Administration, International Development, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English (Arabic and/or French is a plus).
  • Interest in international development.
