Job Title: Assurance Manager
Location: Bonn, Germany
Contract Duration: 2 years, with the intention to extend
Working hours: Full-time, 40 Hours per week
DRS is looking for an Assurance Manager for an INGO who will manage the relationship with the organization’s national accreditation body and the system acceptance process in accordance with the European (EC) regulation 765/2008. The Assurance Manager will implement a General Assembly 2021/2022 membership motion to develop a new set of requirements for the organization’s assurance provider, Assurance Services International (ASI).
Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the organization’s application for system review with the national accreditation body, coordinating with relevant internal teams and ASI.
- Oversee ongoing compliance of the organization’s certification system with relevant accreditation and assurance legislation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and ASI to ensure alignment of organizational requirements with ISO standards (mainly ISO 17065 requirements and ISO 17067 guidance).
- Develop and implement a structure for informing and consulting the national accreditation body (and European Accreditation members) on changes to the organization’s Normative Framework.
- Manage the relationship with the national accreditation body.
- Develop and maintain requirements for ASI in accordance with the organization’s standard-setting procedure, comprising the requirements for the assessment process and reporting from ASI to the organization, and taking into account existing Key Performance Indicators.
Qualifications
Education and Training:
- MScs, University or technical college degree in a relevant field (e.g. quality management, international relations, social sciences, business administration).
Working Experience, Style and Skills:
- At least 5 years of work experience in one or more of the following areas: certification (standard development, auditing), quality management (quality assurance, quality control), assurance.
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation of ISO 17065 and related ISO requirements for accreditation.
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven successful project management experience.
- A very strong sense of diligence and accuracy.
- Service and solution-oriented attitude to work.
- Proactiveness and a high level of engagement.
- Style oriented on collaboration and team cohesiveness.
- Administration skills.
Computer Skills – good skills in the use of/experience with:
- Good skills in the use of/experience with standard software packages (MS Office).
Languages and Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex topics in a simple and user-friendly manner to non-technical audience.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work in multi-cultural and diverse team.
- Excellent English (spoken and written).
- Excellent German (spoken and written)
