About NSPPL:
The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs (NSPPL) was established in 2013 in Reyhanli, southern Turkey, by a group of Syrians in response to those affected by the war in Syria and in need of prosthetic limbs. NSPPL is the first non-profit of its kind in Northern Syria and Turkey to support amputees in recuperating and integrating into a self-sufficient autonomous lifestyle.
Overview:
The goal of this position is to work in primary or secondary health facilities as a doctor who provides MH consultations according to the MH Gap Protocol, which includes pharmacological and non-pharmacological psychotherapy services for common psychological disorders covered by the protocol through comprehensive psychological assessment, developing a treatment and intervention plan, implementing it, and following up on beneficiaries who suffer from the disorders and psychological problems in cooperation with psychotherapists and psychological supports, and within the ethical and professional limits of exercising the service that guarantees the preservation of the rights of the beneficiary.
Tasks and Responsibilities :

Carrying out a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment of individuals and making plans based on these assessments

Implementation of individual counseling and psychotherapy sessions for individuals who suffer from psychological disorders and problems, according to MH Gap protocols

Supporting beneficiaries in developing a recovery plan (with step-by-step recovery goals) based on needs and problems, in addition to continuous follow-up according to their care plans and providing appropriate drug therapy with appropriate doses

Coordination, work and technical supervisor in critical and high-risk cases, especially suicide attempts.

Work effectively with other MHPSS team members to ensure a high quality of work with full respect for the principles of humanitarian action and to ensure that beneficiaries are connected to services appropriate to their needs

Supporting caregivers for individuals who have psychological problems to understand the problems of their children and how they can support them.

Follow up the recovery process through coordination with the psychotherapist and PSS workers for the beneficiaries who receive additional sessions.

Providing the necessary psychological education to beneficiaries, caregivers and family members when needed, especially about drug treatment

Taking into account evaluations of beneficiaries’ improvement to improve the quality of mental health and psychosocial support services.

Ensuring the confidentiality of the beneficiaries’ information documented in evaluation forms and electronic and paper clinical copies, while ensuring good quality documentation of beneficiary files and information.

Participation in continuous group and individual technical supervision sessions.

Provide regular weekly/monthly updates and reports to the supervisor.
Job Requirements :
- Academic Background : holds a practitioner’s certificate in MH Gap protocol, including a period of supervision.
- Experience : Experience in pharmacological and non-pharmacological psychotherapy according to MH Gap protocols
- Years of experience : At least two years.
- Skills : advance Computer skills – Technology applications – Effective communication – Ability to work with others within multiple teams
- Training: It is preferable to have additional training in addiction treatment and suicide prevention
