Chemonics International seeks candidates for a Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor for an upcoming USAID-funded project. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Reporting
The GESI Advisor reports to the Chief of Party.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure that GESI is mainstreamed within the project’s activities, including overseeing the design of relevant activities and the coordination with project teams throughout implementation.
- Maintain technical quality control for all assigned areas of training and capacity-building related work, including design and implementation of training curricula, and development of a cohesive, integrated and sustainable training system.
- Ensure that the performance targets and deliverables relating to training and capacity-strengthening outlined in the agreement and annual work plans are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and that they meet high quality standards.
- Coordinate with management teams, including logistical issues, to ensure smooth implementation of training and capacity-strengthening programs.
- Liaise regularly with representatives of ministries, counterparts and stakeholders’ representatives responsible for overseeing and implementing GESI, training and capacity-strengthening programs.
- Contribute to project quarterly reports, annual work plans, and other project reports and deliverables as required.
- Undertake assessment trips, initiate and evaluate the progress of training activities, and suggest adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate tasks with other project staff working as a team as directed by the Chief of Party.
Qualifications:
- University degree in social services, business administration, or other relevant field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience with institutional development and/or training programs in Palestine, at least two (2) years of which should be as a training manager or comparable experience.
- Experience working with USAID or other donor-funded programs is preferred.
- Experience working with the private sector and/or a government ministry is preferred.
- Demonstrated professional excellence and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to build consensus and coordinate with diverse actors, including government, NGOs, civil society organizations, and private sector.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is required; professional proficiency in English is strongly preferred.
