Applications are invited for the Mid-Career Course FY2024, scheduled to be held from January 6 – 12, 2025 at Hiroshima University, Japan. This Program is part of the Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Japan and implemented by Hiroshima University in cooperation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The Course is designed to help mid-level professionals working in peacebuilding and international development to take stock of where they are in their careers and develop strategies for achieving their career goals. Based on the 2023 "UN 2.0" policy document (https://www.un.org/two-zero/en ), participants will also learn about the necessary skills needed to become senior managers in the future. The training will be useful for those already working in the UN system, as well as those wishing to apply for mid-level positions in international organizations.

Instructors are current or former staff members of international organizations, as well as experts in the fields of peacebuilding and development from Hiroshima University and other institutions. The training will be conducted in English. Approximately 20 Japanese and non-Japanese people will participate from all over the world.

Hiroshima University, Higashi-Hiroshima, Japan (about 4 hours by bullet train from Tokyo). Training will take place on the campus of Hiroshima University. Program associates will stay in this facility: https://miraicrea.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/.

The Course Tuition fees are covered by the Program. In addition, for non-Japanese participants, the Program will cover transportation costs between Tokyo and the training venue (Higashi-Hiroshima City) and accommodation costs during the training.
