About MAG:

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation based in Manchester, UK, and working in over 30 countries. In 1997, MAG was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for our work campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.

About the role:

We are looking for a values-led, resilient, and experienced Director who will lead our global financial function during the current incumbent’s maternity leave as well as the development and delivery of MAG’s organisational strategy jointly with our Global Leadership Team, so that we can make an even greater impact for people affected by armed violence, conflict and insecurity.

As the Director of Finance, you will be a key member of the Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic leadership and oversight of the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring effective business models and financial management and reporting across all business areas in support of MAG’s vision. About you:

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and vision. A fully qualified accountant, you will bring experience of working internationally as well as a demonstrable understanding of the regulatory landscape in which MAG operates. Essential to success in the role will be your ability to build strong relationships across a diverse and international stakeholder map, alongside a clear passion and commitment to MAG’s mission.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience and understanding of multilateral and bi-lateral government contracting including compliance reporting and audit requirements.
