PMER and Partnership Officer, Iraq

This entry-level role supports capacity-building activities, works collaboratively with MCC Project Coordinators and Country Representatives, and contributes to proposal development and partnership strategies through research, coordination, and input. While the position reports to the Project Coordinator, the individual will also work independently on tasks and engage in key external relationships (e.g., churches and faith-based organizations, UN sector meetings, media, government authorities). It also plays a key liaison role, offering support to internal stakeholders.

This entry-level role supports MCC’s program work in Iraq, with approximately 50% of time spent engaging directly with local partner organizations. MCC currently works with three partners implementing six active projects in the areas of health, food security and livelihoods, and peacebuilding. The position contributes to capacity-building efforts by facilitating training in PMER (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting), reviewing partner reports, and supporting proposal development. The role also provides strategic input by identifying new project ideas and ensuring they align with MCC’s mission and priorities. Additionally, the position plays a key part in identifying and developing new partnerships to expand MCC’s impact in the region. Regular communication and field visits are essential for strengthening relationships and supporting effective project implementation.
