DW is seeking a Finance & Administration Officer (f/m/d) for the office in Beirut, Lebanon as of 15 July 2025 or as soon as possible on the basis of an unlimited full-time local staff contract.
THE ROLE
- support the financial and administrative implementation of projects in Lebanon and the region according to DWA standards
- act as focal point for DWA partners/subgrantees in financial and administrative reporting matters (support for management of EU grants)
- logistical and administrative support for events and activities including procurement and communication with service providers and purchase of materials and equipment
- manage cash book for project activities and issuing of payments to trainers, experts and service providers
- communication with the accounting firm and the lawyer on registration matters (NNSF, MoF, MoE) and follow up on completion of the office registration
- support financial matters for the office (common expenses, building management, legal, taxes and related) and communication with the accounting firm
- preparation of monthly expense sheets and processing of invoices and payments for freelancers
- serve as contact point of the building management, handle purchase of goods and services for the office, follow up on technical matters and reparations for the office and deliver any other tasks necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the office
YOUR PROFILE
- degree in financial management, business administration, accounting or related fields or equivalent qualification
- several years of relevant professional work experience including experience in accounting and financial management of publicly funded projects
- experience in procurement processes and managing service providers essential
- experience in grant management (EU funding or other donors) and financial reporting essential
- experience in providing guidance and training in the field of financial management (e.g. for subgrantees) a strong asset
- excellent language skills in both English and Arabic required, additional German skills a strong asset, additional French skills an asset
- excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive and hands-on approach and ability to work against deadlines
- ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
