Salary: 700k – 1m NGN per month, depending on experience
Contract Duration: 1 year, renewable; with a probation period of 3 months, subject to extension only based on performance review by the Project Management Team

Minimum Qualification: MBBS with 1+ years of experience and a valid practicing license, fluency in Hausa and English
About The Taimaka Project:
The Taimaka Project is a highly cost-effective, Founder’s Pledge-recommended nonprofit that delivers reimagined pediatric malnutrition treatment to save the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children. We implement a modified form of community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) treatment targeting children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in Gombe State, Nigeria.
We are looking for a hands-on OTP Manager to lead our outpatient care team and to provide clinical oversight as we expand our treatment program.
OTP Manager duties and responsibilities:
- Lead community outreach activities, including mid-upper arm circumference screening and active case finding for malnutrition in children under 5.
- Provide OTP services in target communities, conduct defaulter tracing, oversee follow-up visits, and deliver key messages at OTP sites.
- Oversee the timely identification of complications, non-responders, and two-way referrals to the stabilization center based on set criteria.
- Develop and implement a Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) work plan, track malnutrition trends based on admissions, and conduct mortality audits at OTP.
- Support the Monitoring & Evaluation unit during assessments and focus group discussions, and ensure timely preparation and submission of reports.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of services and continuously monitor OTP performance and output indicators.
- Manage the effective first aid treatment of SAM children with complications at the Stabilization at the OTP.
- Ensure correct clinical diagnosis, comprehensive health checks, and appropriate treatment according to protocols for patients in the program.
- Ensure all criteria for admission, discharge, and transfer to and from the OTP/Stabilization Center (SC) are respected and understood.
- Ensuring stock levels are accounted for and pre-positioned as planned by coordinating with logistics.
- Work closely with the OTP supervisor, Triage Officers, and Community Mobilization lead at the OTP to ensure all protocols are understood and adhered to, and appropriate referrals are made to and from the OTP.
- Ensure comprehensive health checks, frequent administration of medicines and feeds, and treatment according to protocols.
- Report progress and any problems promptly.
- Respond to inquiries regarding the technical aspects of program admission and discharge when necessary.
- Update patient forms and files, and OTP follow-up cards, to ensure accuracy and coherence, and to track patient progress.
- Provide key health and education messages to beneficiaries based on protocol and guidelines.
- Support Standardized Monitoring and Assessment of Relief and Transition (SMART) and other nutrition surveys at the LGA level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills
- An MBBS with at least 1 year of experience is required
- Valid practicing license required
- Knowledge of CMAM treatment is required
- Experience working with CMAM treatment preferred
- Fluency in Hausa and good command of English required
