Job Purpose
We are seeking highly skilled Certified Trainers/Advisors with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- SPHERE Standards
- Disaster Management
- Result-based Management (RBM)
- Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
- Public-Private Partnerships
- Proposal Writing
- Communications
- Negotiations
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Project Management
- ArcGIS
The ideal candidate will provide specialized training, develop course materials, and facilitate capacity-building initiatives tailored to development and humanitarian contexts. This is a hybrid model (remote or on-site), project-based role, with successful candidates being included in ProLeap Development Group’s permanent consulting talent pool for future assignments. The Finance Expert will report to the senior leadership/client and collaborate closely with project teams to provide financial guidance and best-practice solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Result-based Management (RBM)
- Deliver targeted training on designing, implementing, and evaluating RBM frameworks.
- Facilitate workshops on setting clear objectives, indicators, and performance measures.
- Develop training materials focused on outcome-oriented project management.
- Support organizations in integrating RBM principles into project cycles and reporting.
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
- Conduct specialized training programs to support MSME development and sustainability.
- Facilitate workshops on business planning, financial literacy, and market access strategies for MSMEs.
- Provide capacity-building sessions for entrepreneurship and small business management.
- Develop practical case studies and toolkits for MSME growth in development contexts.
Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)
- Deliver training sessions on the design, negotiation, and management of Public-Private Partnerships.
- Facilitate workshops on risk-sharing, governance frameworks, and contract management in PPPs.
- Provide capacity-building on identifying PPP opportunities and building effective collaborations.
- Develop tools and resources to support public sector and private sector engagement.
Proposal Writing
- Provide training on structuring, drafting, and refining high-quality project proposals.
- Facilitate workshops on donor guidelines, budget preparation, and logical frameworks (logframes).
- Deliver practical exercises on competitive proposal writing for development and humanitarian funding.
- Support participants in developing proposal templates and checklists tailored to specific donors.
Training Design & Delivery
- Develop and deliver training programs aligned with international best practices.
- Design training modules and instructional materials customized for various audiences.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt methodologies based on feedback.
- Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance training delivery.
SPHERE Standards & Disaster Management
- Provide specialized training on humanitarian response frameworks and SPHERE Standards.
- Develop emergency preparedness training materials for humanitarian actors.
- Facilitate workshops on disaster risk reduction and crisis response strategies.
- Strengthen knowledge of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and response protocols.
Communications & Negotiations
- Deliver capacity-building sessions on effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide training on negotiation techniques and conflict resolution in humanitarian and development settings.
- Develop materials on intercultural communication and leadership in diverse environments.
- Conduct role-playing exercises and case studies to reinforce learning outcomes.
KPIs & Project Management
- Train teams on KPI development, tracking, and performance improvement strategies.
- Provide guidance on project management methodologies, including Agile, PRINCE2, and PMP frameworks.
- Facilitate workshops on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) principles.
- Support organizations in integrating project management best practices into operations.
ArcGIS Training & Capacity Building
- Train professionals and organizations in ArcGIS to enhance geospatial analysis and decision-making capabilities.
- Promote inclusive GIS learning environments that accommodate diverse skill levels and technical backgrounds.
Capacity Building & Mentorship
- Mentor professionals and organizations to strengthen technical and operational capacities.
- Design training-of-trainers (ToT) programs to enhance sustainability of learning initiatives.
- Develop practical exercises and simulations to reinforce training objectives.
- Promote inclusive learning environments that address diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Humanitarian Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or Project Management.
- 7-10 years of experience in training, facilitation, and capacity development.
- Certified in relevant areas such as ArcGIS, SPHERE, PMD, PgMD, PMP, PRINCE2, CIPD, CTP, or related professional credentials.
- Strong expertise in adult learning methodologies and instructional design.
- Experience working in humanitarian, development, or donor-funded programs.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic, French, Turkish, or Spanish is a plus.
- Experience delivering virtual and in-person training sessions globally.
