Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa’s farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy/Reginal Manager, the Area Coordinator will lead a sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth in your assigned area. You’ll have the chance to recruit, train, and manage a sales team while working with customer-facing teams to enhance our retail footprint. As part of the sales team in this growing business, you will help understand the needs of our customers and help shape the future of businesses across all channels and use technology to connect with customers. You will develop an execution strategy for your assigned market and work both individually, and with your Sales team to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new customer opportunities. You will have had success in sales management, and a passion for achieving goals and exceeding expectations. You will work in one of the 5 Asili Regions of operation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement projects in the assigned area, ensuring understanding of Tupande Asili’s objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners, including community leaders, government officials, and partner organizations.
- Conduct needs assessments and identify opportunities for growth and development in the assigned area.
- Manage and track project budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and timely expenditure.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the local context, including cultural nuances and community dynamics.
- Ability to travel frequently to remote areas, often with limited amenities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture or related field
