Location: Remote (with availability during US working hours)
Hours: Part-Time – 3 days or 24 hours per week
Duration: 6 months (with potential for renewal)
Compensation: $2000 – $2500/month depending on experience

7amleh – The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for Palestinian digital rights. Our mission is to create a safe, fair, and free digital space for Palestinians. We conduct research, provide training in digital rights and security, and lead both local and international advocacy campaigns to support Palestinian civil society and digital activism.
About the Role
7amleh is seeking a Development and Communications Officer to help expand our network of U.S.-based supporters committed to advancing Palestinian digital rights.
Working closely with our U.S. National Organizer, the Officer will engage with community members, map opportunities for outreach, draft compelling communications, and help build a base of recurring individual donors and institutional supporters.
This is a meaningful opportunity for someone passionate about social justice and advocacy, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to outreach and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities
The U.S. Development & Communications Officer will support the growth of 7amleh’s presence in the U.S. through the following activities:
- Assist with U.S.-based fundraising and donor engagement activities.
- Maintain regular communication with 7amleh staff in the U.S. and the region to stay informed on organizational work and priorities.
- Support administrative and financial management activities for 7amleh’s U.S. operation.
- Develop compelling documents (e.g. org. presentation, concept note etc.) as requested by the donor.
- Support outreach efforts to new and existing partners, particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area and other U.S. regions.
- Contribute to the implementation of 7amleh’s U.S. strategic communications plan.
- Represent 7amleh at in-person meetings and events with partners, donors, and allies.
- Develop and manage a stakeholder database in the U.S., including contacts in civil society organizations, philanthropic institutions, and relevant government bodies.
- Provide ad-hoc support to other departments and projects as needed.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of issues related to Palestine/Israel and a strong commitment to justice for Palestinians.
- Experience in fundraising and donor relationship management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong digital and media literacy; able to research and identify potential contacts with limited information.
- Familiarity with digital rights is an asset, but not required.
