Overview

SoCha is a US Government contractor currently bidding after a US Department of State request for proposals (RFP) to provide global advisory services. SoCha will include the best candidate as a proposed Senior Logistics Advisor in the proposal. The position is contingent upon contract award. US citizenship and active SECRET security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Logistics Advisor is responsible for providing:

  1. Advisory services to various Logistics, Maintenance, and Supply organizations throughout Sub-Saharan Africa
  2. New system / course of action (COA)
  3. Host Nation requirements management
  4. Technical advisory support on logistics
  5. Standard operating procedure (SOP) assistance on logistics and property management
  6. Equipment availability data / operational readiness
  7. Training curriculum
  8. Mentoring host nation staff on new processes and systems
  9. Transitioning advising services
  10. Support to Host Nations’ Logistics, Maintenance, and Supply Depots
  11. Inventory management
  12. Equipment and materials tracking
  13. Supply reports and equipment status (including preventative and routine maintenance)
  14. Shipping reports
  15. Training in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and US-original equipment
  16. Transitioning advisory services
  17. Ongoing monitoring to determine the impact of assistance

Experience and Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in logistics and supply chain management, research & evaluation, and/or other related fields.
  2. At least three years working in a sub-Saharan Africa partner nation as a logistics advisor to partner nation militaries.
  3. At least five years’ hands-on experience working in a U.S. (or NATO) military logistics career field at the Battalion (S-4) section or equivalent level, with at least two years working at the Brigade or equivalent Staff level.
  4. At least four years’ experience with supply sourcing systems and military resourcing systems.
  5. Demonstrated adherence to quality standards and reviews program deliverables.
  6. Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with customers/clients, including the ability to respond to cost and technical tasks, monitor contract and task order performance, and apply required course corrections.
  8. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software to include Word, Power Point, Teams, Excel (advanced) and SharePoint. Advanced skills, e.g., presentation development, written policies/procedures, formulas/functions, data visualization, pivot tables, macros, or VBA language. Provision of Certification in MS Office through industry recognized provider (e.g., Certiport, Coursera, etc.) is required.
  9. Demonstrated fluency (spoken and written) in English language, when such is not the native language, including experience summarizing complex technical and programmatic issues in a concise manner for the U.S. government. Provision of Certification in English language through industry recognized provider (e.g., Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), etc.) is required.

Security Requirements:

  1. U.S. citizenship required.
  2. Active SECRET clearance required prior to start.

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Anticipated salary range is $150,000 to $225,700 contingent on contract award and US Government approval.
