Social Media & Fundraising Officer

CMA’s vision is to establish a quality healthcare system for the most vulnerable populations. Our organization is committed to identify and develop collaborations between the various medical and non-medical actors, to foster on time a quick diagnosis and provide the best treatment to each patient. By using on the ground, technology such as applications to proceed to registration, it is possible to put in action a proper case management for each patient. The core principles of CMA rely on high medical standards, local integration, financially and cultivating a common mindset to bring the two communities together, the Refugee and Greek community.

Context:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the social media and fundraising Officer is responsible for creating content for CMA’s media platforms, sharing content, as responding the comments and messages. He/she will maintain the CMA website as well and ensure the follow up on the fundraising campaigns. He/she will work closely together with the Program Manager to ensure the availability of shareable content that highlight CMA’s operation in the best possible way, to raise awareness about the need of the beneficiaries and to increase the followers, engagement with CMA’s accounts and the number of volunteer applications and donations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Social Media

• Create and implement a social media and marketing strategy.

• Update and maintain a social media monthly content calendar.

• Update our social media channels and website regularly.

• Create engaging content for social media platforms to promote fundraising campaigns and

initiatives.

• Manage and grow the organization’s presence on various social media channels including

Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

• Monitor comments and messages on social media channels.

• Research and identify emerging social platforms for CMA as well as potential partnerships.

• Increase CMA’s reach and ensure engagement with key audiences.

• Track the effectiveness of the social media plan and recommend ways forward.

• Provide general communications support, including administrative tasks as required.

• Watermarking pictures where needed and requested.

• Maintaining the G-suite account for social media.

• Uploading, filtering, editing and organizing content in the designated Google Drive.

• Requesting photos and videos from the field team on a weekly basis through direct communication with

the field, as coordinating the sharing and distribution of branded digital material to the organization’s

volunteers.

• Analyze social media metrics to assess performance and guide future strategies for engagement

Website

• Maintain the English website by updating information and other content based on the operational

and contextual developments.

• Ensuring that the Program Manager can follow up with translation of content for the Greek website.

Fundraising

• Create and monitor fundraising activities and events.

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.

• Identify partners and shared fundraising opportunities.

• Link the fundraising activities with the social media content and strategy.

• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors to generate support for CMA programs.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and communications around fundraising

efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications and social media.

• Experience in social media management and fundraising, ideally in a nonprofit sector with a medical

background.

• Experience in website management, content creation and updating.

• Strong proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc) and content

management tools.

• Knowledge of social media analytics tools to assess performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

• Experience with content creation tools such as Canva.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage diverse audiences.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies and campaigns.

• Strong organizational skills.
