Programme Coordinator, Delegate based in Ukraine (m/f/d) Fixed-term contract until June 2026

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong experience in humanitarian and development programmes to coordinate and oversee projects in collaboration with local and international partners. This fixed-term position requires excellent management, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation, monitoring and the reporting of AutRC supported URCS programmes
  • Ensure planning and development of high-quality concept notes, project proposals and budgets, based on URCS and AutRC strategic plans, well coordinated with other RCRC partners
  • Ensure effective and transparent planning and use of financial resources in compliance with AutRC and backdonor regulations
  • Manage day-to-day work coordination of the AutRC team in country and their coordination with HQ. Contribute to capacity building of AutRC staff through day-to-day support and mentoring, support recruitment processes and staff orientation.
  • Closely coordinate with URCS focal points of various departments (HQ and branch level) on day to day requests, as well as with other RCRC and external partners for programme planning, implementation and monitoring matters.
  • Report to the AutRC Country Representative

Profil and skills

  • EU work permit required
  • Minimum 5 years of operational management experience in humanitarian or development programmes (NGO, IO, or charity); Red Cross/Red Crescent experience is a strong asset
  • University degree or diploma in international development, business management, or a related field
  • Solid experience in project development and management with local partners, including assessments, design, implementation, and monitoring
  • Strong coordination, communication, organizational, and planning skills
  • Proficiency in donor reporting, accountability, and compliance
  • Experience in capacity building, facilitation, and presentations; ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure in demanding security settings
  • Very good English skills; Ukrainian, Russian, and German are an asset
  • Highly motivated for humanitarian and development work with strong sensitivity to diversity

We offer

  • Job location: Ukraine (based in Kyiv, work travels in country as required)
  • Start of employment: preferably June 2025
  • Duration: 1 year (extendable)
  • Working time: full-time All-in
  • Compensation: min € 4.600 (gross/month) depending on qualification and experience
  • Accommodation in Ukraine is provided by the AutRC
